Hello all, here is the place to hear your voice.
Come one, come all......like other blogs, please remain courteous and respectfull to fellow association members and visitors when making an entry.
We welcome your comments, opinions and questions about the association.
Some of the big issues facing us are the following:
1. Membership......transfer data from previous website to this one. We are working on it and this website remains under construction.
2. Re-organization...I would like to transform the executive with the help of more hands. To do this I have been asking members to participate with the executive and have a proposed org chart with a few blanks to fill in, a work in progress.
3. Immediate Events....in June we will be sponsoring the MP Homecoming at the Canadian Forces Military Police Academy at CFB Borden. Dates and a full itinerary to be announced later this week, on or before 01 April 2010.
4. Elections..... Of executive members to be held electronically....On or about 10 May 2010, we will post a request for nominations for executive positions in the association for our members to vote on. The results will be published and announced at the AGM, at the MP Homecoming in June 2010.
5. Feedback.....I appreciate all the email that crosses my path and those comments supporting our endevours to make things better are well received. Bring me a problem and bring me a solution and together, we will find resolution.
6. 20th Anniversary......2011 marks our 20 year anniversary and we are looking for a committee to mark this moment and help us to preserve our heritage. Your availability to help with this event is greatly appreciated. Please Step up and vconsider volunteering, thank you.
7. Follow our Events.....We have many events in 2010 to participate in, follow the website and the Sitrep for an event nearest you. If you want to host an event, please do, just write us and we will help in any way we can.
8. Relationships....We have survived for almost 20 years as a stand-alone association as military police men and women who served our country, our branch and each other. We need to continue and strengthen our bond with the Canadian Miliary Police Association. We are members and former members of the MP Branch First and Foremost....our membership and participation in associations is second. Our common interest is the strength of our membership to make things better for OUR branch.
9. Fundraising.....We continue to support the Military Police Wall of Honour, to remember those members of the Military Police who have Died in The Line of Duty. They must never be forgotten and always remembered. May every MP Course going through the CFMP Academy spend time reflecting on our memebers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us.
10. Information sharing....In this day and age, the use of electronic means to share information has improved our ability to reach new members and maintain current members. Please forward news of this association to those who haven't heard of us kindly remember, we are only as strong as our weakest link.

Update on my above info:
ReplyDeleteElections are being postponed until after the MP Homecoming because we are overly tasked getting ready for a four day event.
The election will be held on this website and conducted electronically.
Stay tuned for more details.
The dates for MP Homecoming will be announced 13 April 2010 on this site and we ask you to forward it to all those MP and ORG`s you know.
